What the website does not do

The website has no forms, user accounts, payments or newsletter. It includes no audience measurement tool, advertising pixel, embedded content or resource loaded from a third-party site, and sets no cookies. No audience measurement is enabled in the hosting configuration either.

1. Technical data processed by the host

As with any website, displaying a page sends technical connection data to the server: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, browser and operating system (user agent), and referring page where applicable.

Purposes
Serving the website's pages and keeping it secure and working.
Legal basis
The publisher's legitimate interest in making the website available and secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Recipient
Vercel Inc., the website host (see the legal notice), which processes this data as a processor.
Retention period
Connection logs are kept by Vercel under its own policy. The publisher can only view them for a short period set by the hosting plan.
Transfers outside the European Union
Vercel Inc. is established in the United States, so this data may be processed there. This transfer is covered by Vercel's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, failing that, by standard contractual clauses.

2. Messages sent by email

If you choose to write to the contact address, your message is sent from your own email service. The publisher then receives your email address, your name if it appears, and the content of your message.

Purpose
Reading and replying to your message.
Legal basis
The publisher's legitimate interest in replying to messages they receive (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Recipient
Google, provider of the Gmail service used by the publisher.
Retention period
Three years from the last exchange, unless you ask for earlier deletion.
Transfers outside the European Union
Possible depending on Google's infrastructure, which covers these transfers through the mechanisms described in its privacy policy.

3. Language preference

When you choose a language on the portfolio, that choice (fr or en) is saved in your browser's local storage under the key portfolio-locale, so the same language is shown on your next visits. Without that choice, the language is inferred from your browser settings and nothing is saved.

This value stays on your device: it is not sent to the publisher or to any third party. It is kept until you remove it by clearing the site's data in your browser. As it is strictly necessary for a service you expressly request, it does not require prior consent (Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act), which is why no consent banner is shown.

Links to other websites

The links to LinkedIn and GitHub load nothing until you follow them. Once on those sites, their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, or the restriction of its processing, object to its processing, and set instructions for what happens to it after your death. The right to data portability applies where its conditions are met (Article 20 GDPR); since the processing described here relies on legitimate interest, it does not normally apply. Write to qlescure.pro@gmail.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): cnil.fr/fr/plaintes (in French).
